CRD-IPM leads research policies and seminar-workshop on Prior Art Search

For the development of advanced research, the Center for Research and Development Intellectual Property Management, headed by Engr. Wenceslao D. Gavina, IPM Coordinator, led the Research Policies and Seminar-Workshop on Prior Art Search held last April 8, 2022, at the College Auditorium of Camarines Sur Polytechnic Colleges (CSPC).

In remarks delivered during the seminar-workshop, Engr. Harold Jan R. Terano, Director of the Center for Research and Development, underscored the reputation of CSPC as one of the finest polytechnic universities in line with innovative research.

Moreover, students and faculty are invited to the event to conduct a prior art search for their generated technologies. In addition, students from Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics, and Communication Department Engineering were also taught by Dr. Yolanda A. Santorcas to draft claims and specifications of their respective utility models. They were also allowed to file patents and register their utility model in IPOPHIL.

Meanwhile, with the extended efforts of Dr. Charlito P. Cadag, President III of CSPC, Dr. Teresita B. Salazar, Vice President for Research, Extension, Production, and Entrepreneurial Development, and the designated resource speakers, namely Ms. Cherry Lyn Odsinada, Mr. Kristopher T. Visaya, and Mr. Kevin Capoles the said event was concluded a success and worth attending. Furthermore, the undertaken studies of the researchers were expected for a future innovative project.
