The Graduate School of Camarines Sur Polytechnic Colleges spearheaded a seminar focused on enhancing research capabilities and promoting a culture of excellence in research for both graduate students and graduating undergraduates of the College via Zoom and Facebook Live on December 18, 2021.

The online seminar titled “Webinar on New Initiatives and Nurturing a Research Culture in the New Normal” aimed to cultivate the participant’s writing skills, research ethics, information organization skills, and source validation skills.

Topics covered include “Policies, Standards, and Guidelines for Graduate Programs” per CHED Memorandum Order No. 15, series of 2019 by GS Dean Dr. Jocelyn O. Jintalan; “Preparation, Pre-orals and Final Defense, and Best Practices in Research Paper Writing” by Dean April Z. Luzon of the College of Arts and Sciences; “Publication of Research Outputs in Refereed and Indexed Journals” by Director Harold Jan R. Terano of the Center for Research and Development; “Research Ethics and How to Avoid Plagiarism” by Prof. Presebel B. Presto of the Central Bicol State University of Agriculture; and, “Intellectual Property Rights” by Engr. Leo Agustin P. Vela of Camarines Norte State College IPRPU.
