Camarines Sur Polytechnic Colleges President Dr. Charlito P. Cadag was awarded membership into the EdukCircle International Education Circle – International Center for Communication Studies (ICCS) which also gave the College institutional membership to the said organization.
This was after Dr. Cadag completed a series of lectures and activities given by said organization in time for its 20th EdukCircle International Convention on Media Communication last October 16, 2021.
The lectures and activities completed by Dr. Cadag were said to promote, according to the certificate issued by the said organization, the “advancement and essential evaluation of communication practices in the field of Media Communication”. This completion in turn afforded the College a Certificate of Institutional Membership at The EdukCircle – ICCS, making CSPC a good standing member of the said organization. The Colleges’ benefits will be access to EdukCircle-ICCS being “a venue for the advancement and essential evaluation of communication practices in the field of Education Studies”.
Speakers during the said convention included Dr. Ram Bhat, Fellow at the London School of Economics and Political Science; Dr. Gabriel Khan, Professor at the University of Southern California at Annenberg; Ms. Kate W. Dawson, Associate Professor at the University of Texas at Austin; Ms. Cheryl Phillips, Lecturer at Stanford University; Dr. Mark Deuze, Professor at the University of Amsterdam; Dr. Robert Mansell, Professor at the London School of Economics and Political Science; and, Mr. Matthew Karolian, Lecturer at Harvard University.
Particularly, to maintain good standing with the said organization, the College should aim to: be involved with academic research in national and international perspectives; have friendly collaborations with universities in the Philippines and internationally; participate in national and international fellowships among students and educators of Education Studies; participate in annual conferences; and, promote wider interest in communications and allied fields though the expertise and mastery of the most respected and seasoned education studies practitioners, per the issued certification.
