GS holds consultation on Master in Engineering curriculum

Aconsultation meeting was held on the review and revision of several Master of Engineering program offered by the Camarines Sur Polytechnic Colleges via Zoom and limite face to face at the Graduate School Defense Room on October 8, 2021.


The consultation meeting, which involved focus group discussions in breakout rooms on the four major areas of specialization of the Master of Engineering: Civil, Electrical, Electronics and Mechanical. According to proponents of the activity, the consultation was held to ensure the programs’ quality is “responsive to the needs of the market and the present time and compliant to the CHED Memo No. 15 s. 2019”, and to revise the program nomenclature from Master in Engineering technology (MET) to Master of Engineering. The last revision of the program was done in 2013 and the submission of a revised curriculum is a requirement for the issuance of a Certificate of Program Compliance.


Of the 26 expected participants, 19 were present at the limited face-to-face meeting which included top College officials: as President Dr. Charlito P. Cadag, VPAA Dr. Amado A. Oliva, Jr., Graduate School Dean Dr. Jocelyn Jintalan, College of Engineering Dean Engr. Radmar B. Tañamor, and Master of Engineering Program Chair Engr. Rizza T. Loquias. Other participants included industry partners and experts, alumni and master of engineering students who participated via online.
