CBM unveils logo redesign after Acad Council nod

The College of Business Management (CBM) of Camarines Sur Polytechnic Colleges (CSPC) revealed its new logo after receiving the approval of the Academic Council in a virtual meeting held last June 25, 2021.

The design, chosen among 10 submissions following a competition launched in March 2021, features a stylized combination of ancient icons of trade and commerce including the winged wheel and the Greek god Hermes.

Dr. Norel Peter M. Illo, OIC Dean of CBM, believes that the move to change the visual identity of the college department is relevant to the conversion of CSPC into a university.

“This is to ensure that the logo is in coherence with our mandate as a polytechnic university — an indicator of our continuous quest for holistic growth and development,” Dr. Illo said.

“The redesigned logo also showcases the incorporation of the CSPC core functions along instruction, research, extension, and production,” he added.

The unveiling came ahead of Academic Year 2021-2022 which is set to commence in August. CBM is expected to welcome about 750 first-year students and transferees and an estimated one thousand upper-level students across four programs.
