CSPC collabs with gov’t, other CamSur HEIs for DOST iSTART Program

Camarines Sur Polytechnic Colleges and four other State Universities and Colleges (SUC) and higher education institutions (HEIs) from the province of Camarines Sur signed a Memorandum of Agreement with the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) – Region V, the Provincial Government of Camarines Sur (PLGU-Camarines Sur), and the Local Government Unit of Pasacao (LGU Pasacao) on March 26, 2021 at Surfer’s Paradise in Pasacao, Camarines Sur for the implementation of the DOST iSTART Program.

iSTART, or the Innovation, Science and Technology for Accelerating Regional Technology-Based Development, is a program by the state agency that aims to support balanced development geographically by accelerating regional growth through science, technology, and innovation.

CSPC, together with Bicol State College of Applied Sciences and Technology, Partido State University, Central Bicol State University of Agriculture, and University of Nueva Caceres, committed to share their resources under their respective research and development, and extension programs to ensure the successful implementation of the project.

Present in the ceremonial MOA signing were Dr. Charlito P. Cadag, College President; Dr. Teresita B. Salazar, Vice President for Research, Extension, Production, and Entrepreneurial Development; and Mr. Kristopher T. Visaya who was designated as the focal person of the College for the iSTART Program.
