ESO, CCS intensify e-Gov System at LGU Bula

The Extension Services Office (ESO) and College of Computer Studies (CCS) of Camarines Sur Polytechnic Colleges (CSPC) commenced a five-day re-orientation and end-user’s training on e-Governance System to the Municipality of Bula, Camarines Sur on March 22, 2021.

The event was attended by unit heads of the Local Government Unit of Bula under the leadership of Municipal Mayor Amelita A. Ibasco. CSPC was represented by Director Charles Bolival of ESO and Dean Challiz Omorog of CCS who was joined by her faculty members, namely Mr. Jeffrey Luzon, Mr. Regino B. Medrano, Mr. Philip Alger Serrano, Mr. Joseph Jessie Oñate, Mr. Jayvee Niel Sias, Mr. Arvic Babol, Ms. Brenda D. Benosa, Ms. Tiffany Lyn O. Pandes, Ms. Bernadette Grace Bonita, and Ms. Maricris Ramizares.

e-Governance is an application of Information Technology in the integration of stand-alone systems and delivery of government services to provide automated management, administration, and analytic mechanisms for local government units.

Funded by the Department of Science and Technology – Philippine Council for Industry, Energy and Emerging Technology Research and Development (DOST-PCIEERD), the project is expected to address problems posed by the current pandemic in political services. It comprises six web systems focused on e-Building permits, Legislative Management and Tracking, Real Property Assessment and Tax Management, e-Business Permit and Licensing, Financial Accounting, and Local Government Identification.

The training is part of CSPC’s mandate to be of service to the community through the flagship program of ESO called CSPC SUCCESS or “Sustainable Undertakings on Championing the Community through Effective Study- Based Services.”
