CSPC cleared by BOI to accept foreign students

Per AAFSNo. JHM-2022-T754 amending AAFS No. RAGE-2016-004, the Camarines Sur Polytechnic Colleges (CSPC) was granted authority by the Bureau of Immigration to accept foreign students for specific academic programs on March 16, 2021. This was after the College complied with the required documents for its programs. Requirements included AACCUP and CHED certificates, faculty profile, and photos of buildings, laboratories, libraries and other facilities.


Full accreditation to accept foreign students were given to programs BS Electrical Engineering, BS Mechanical Engineering, BS Civil Engineering, BS Electronics Engineering, BS Nursing, BS Office Administration, BS Information Technology, BS Computer Science, Master of Arts in Nursing, Master in Engineering and Master in Business Management.


Temporary accreditation was given to programs Bachelor of Library Information Science, BS Information Systems, BS Midwifery, BS Hospitality Management, BS Tourism Management, BS Entrepreneurship, Bachelor of Culture and Arts Education, Bachelor of Special Needs Education, Bachelor of Physical Education, Bachelor of Arts in English Language, Bachelor of Science in Mathematics, Bachelor of Science in Developmental Communication, Bachelor of Public Administration, Bachelor in Human Services, Bachelor of Technical Vocational Teacher Education and Doctor of Philosophy in Business Management. The temporary accreditation, according to the BOI, is subject for reapplication as soon as the College acquires a Level II accreditation status from the AACCUP.


The BOI accreditation requires the College to establish a Foreign Student Unit (FSU), designate an employee as liaison officer to represent the foreign student in all transactions with the BOI, submit within 45 days on commencement of classes a comprehensive list of foreign students, and submit a monthly status report of the student’s academic performance or, if the student went missing.
