CRCA to launch “Museo Rinconada”

The Camarines Sur Polytechnic Colleges – Center for Rinconada Culture and Arts (CSPC-CRCA) will be launching “Museo Rinconada” through an on-site open house and online virtual art and photo exhibit at the second floor of the CSPC Library Building on February 22, 2021.

Set as one of the major activities of CRCA’s celebration of the 2021 National Arts Month themed “Alab Sining, Alay Sigla: A Celebration of Rinconada’s Affluent Arts and Culture”, the launching is the culmination of the Center’s mandate to establish a local museum with the same goals as this year’s theme.

The “Museo Rinconada” will feature a collection of local artists and student artworks, photos of artists and historical landmarks, and cultural artifacts that highlight Rinconada art and culture.

The collection is the product of collaboration with local Rinconada artists and their respective local government units (LGUs) who held in mind the art piece’s significance in the establishment of the Rinconada identity.

It took about the month of January of this year for the CRCA to plan, coordinate and consult with other agencies, LGUs, and stakeholders and collect and select the exhibit pieces.

Other art pieces to be displayed in the exhibit will include the winning pieces of the Visual Arts Contest 2021, one of the other major CRCA National Arts Month events.

The open-house exhibit will be available to the public from 10:00 am onwards while an online virtual tour is scheduled to be available from 1:00 pm onwards of the said date.
