CSPC to partner with Indonesia’s Politeknik Negeri Padang in holding int’l sharing session in Electrical Engineering

Camarines Sur Polytechnic Colleges (CSPC) and Politeknik Negeri Padang (PNP) of Indonesia are slated to hold the INTERNATIONAL SHARING SESSION IN ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING: Championing Future Electrical Engineers through Responsive and Relevant Student Projects on February 17, 2021 at 1:30 PM (Philippine Time) via Zoom.

This virtual event aims to highlight some of the projects of Electrical Engineering students from CSPC and PNP that are not only relevant the present time but also responsive to present challenges. It also intends to share best practices between the two polytechnic institutions along student academic development in the field of Electrical Engineering.

Electrical Engineering students from CSPC will be presenting three innovative projects during the online event: Design and Development of Peergy: An Energy Sharing Platform; Flood Detection System for Flood Prone Areas; and PET Bottle Incentive-Based Smart Trash Bin. PNP is also expected to present four projects: Temperature Measurement for Multiobject Using Thermal Camera; Water Level Monitoring in Airport Runways (MASVELING); Digital Waterpass; and Safety Oriented Automatic Speed Bumps.

Institutional speakers are expected to deliver their respective talks as well. CSPC will be represented by Dr. Charlito P. Cadag, College President; Engr. Radmar B. Tañamor, Dean of the College of Engineering (COE); and Engr. Jose Eduardo F. Cerillo II, Student Projects Coordinator and COE Faculty. Speaking for PNP will be Dr. Revalin Herdianto, Vice-Director for Academic Affairs; Dr. Hendrick, Lecturer; and Mr. Ihsan Lumasa Rimra, Head of International Affairs Office. Prof. Filmor J. Murillo, Director of CSPC’s Center for International Linkages and Affairs (CILA), will be moderating the sharing session.

This session is being spearheaded by CSPC’s COE and CILA, and PNP’s International Affairs Office and Office of the Vice-Director for Academic Affairs. The Management Information and Communications Technology of CSPC provides technical support.
