‘Green Market’ soars into national business idea challenge semifinals

Enactus Philippines named “Green Market” of Camarines Sur Polytechnic Colleges as one of the 15 semifinalists for the Business Innovation Idea Challenge (BIIC) during the virtual opening round on October 30, 2020 which was streamed lived on Facebook.

BIIC is a program which aims to recognize groups from colleges and universities all over the country who have viable ideas that promote business innovation, demonstrate entrepreneurial leadership, and focus on creating significant impact in terms of improving the lives of its chosen target audience while addressing one or more of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations. This year’s edition received a total of 64 entries from 36 academic institutions.

“Green Market” is an initiative of student members Alyssa Aliviado (BLIS), Jade Ballester (BSIT), and Michael Flora (BSIT). Ms. Rosel Onesa serves as their Faculty Advisor. The team will move on to the next phase of the competition – the semifinals – which is set to be conducted on December 4, 2020. They will compete with other schools including De La Salle University – Dasmariñas, University of the Philippines Visayas, and Lyceum of the Philippines University – Batangas.

Successful entrants will advance to the final round on December 5, 2020.
