The College Guidance Center of Camarines Sur Polytechnic Colleges administered the first Remote Freshmen and Transferees Orientation for the first semester of the school year 2020-2021 last August 06, 2020. The jumpstart in welcoming the new CSPCeans was conducted via Zoom and was aired live through the official Facebook page. The remote orientation started with words of welcome from the Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Maria Laarni M. Salcedo, followed by the Message from our President, Dr. Charlito P. Cadag.
The said orientation highlighted the College History, VMGO, and Quality Policy which were discussed by the Director of Institutional Planning and Development Office, Dr. April Z. Luzon, free tuition which was introduced by Accountant III, Ms. Ma. Francia S. Abaca, the Academic Policy, and Calendar of Activities which were explained by Registrar III, Dr. Arlene I. Malaya, and Students Services and Scholarships which were explicated by the Director of OSAS, Dr. Leonisa O. Infante.
Moreover, other topics discussed during the virtual orientation were the Library Services and Policies, Guidance Services, Student Internet Services, and Medical and Dental Services requirements. The course offerings of the institution were also expounded by the respective deans from different departments. The students viewed, left comments and reactions during the Live streaming of the Remote Orientation via Facebook. Approximately, almost 1, 000 viewers participated during the event. The orientation was concluded with friendly reminders about safety protocols in the CoVid-19 pandemic.
