Advancing Tomorrow’s Education Today Through Conceiving – Designing – Implementing – Operation (Cdio) Framework

The society we live in is advancing persistently towards future scenarios that I deem uncertain, and it is our job to redirect it towards sustainability which would translate to new ways of doing things in order to improve our environment while attaining equal opportunities and stability at the same time. Yet, at the risk of sounding cliché, change is impossible without learning, just as learning is impossible without change.

Education and its paradigms are not merely integrated into our lives for the sake of creating a perfect citizenry. As we move forward, we came to realize that the objectives shifted to ensuring that learners turn out to be well-trained and critically-spirited movers of society. This light-bulb moment prompted CSPC to embrace a revolutionary approach to equipping every CSPCean to be work-ready, world-ready and life-ready.

During our visit at the Rajamangala University of Technology Thanyaburi in Pathum Thani, Thailand to solidify a flourishing cooperation with the institution, we have witnessed how strong their zeal to quality education is and how dedicated they are in accommodating possibilities of personal growth, academic triumph, and professional development. Just like here in CSPC, education is essential to them when it comes to preparing one’s future and life, and even empowering people and strengthening the nation.

Today, we are beyond blessed to welcome two of the most highly-esteemed friends we have from the Land of Smiles, from a partner institution that shares the common vision with CSPC in harboring competitive and qualified human resource to keep pace with the thriving opportunities in the ASEAN Community and beyond.

Moreover, their presence here is also a significant turning point for us as we will get illuminated with the prominence of the CDIO Framework in meeting the changing needs of the academe and industry and aiming an education that supports the acquisition of strong technical fundamentals while simultaneously developing necessary professional skills.

Our first resource person earned a B.E. degree in Industrial Engineering from Chulalongkorn University in 1993, a Master of Science in Engineering Management from the University of Missouri-Rolla, the USA in 1994 where she obtained a Ph.D. in the same discipline and institution three years later.

Starting from 2008, she shared her diligence and prowess with RMUTT as a Program Manager for Industrial Engineering Master Degree Program, Director of the Graduate Office, and the Department Head of Industrial Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering, in that order. Consequently, she finished her Ph.D. in English at the Srinakharinwirot Prasarnmit University.

From 2005 to 2008, she worked as a part-time lecturer at various premiere universities in Thailand. In the following years, she moves toward becoming a full-time mentor and headed the MA Program in English for Professions at Rangsit University. At present, she is sharing her commitment at RMUTT as a full-time lecturer and committee on BA Program in English for Communication, Department of Western languages of the Faculty of Liberal Arts.

Among her successful endeavors to oil, the wheels of her expertise are training in foreign countries, including one in Singapore Polytechnic where she took part in the CDIO Master Trainers Workshop Program last 2016.
