Extension conducts 3-in-1 symposium for Agdangan High School

The Camarines Sur Polytechnic College of Education,Arts and Sciences in coordination with the Colleges Extension Office conducted a teacher and student symposium at the Agdangan National High School, Baao, Camarines Sur on February 17, 2022.


Titled “Teacher’s Symposium and Student’s Empowerment: a 3-in-1 Advocacy on Gender and Development, Values Formation, Environmental Care and Mathematical Concepts in Agdangan, Baao, Camarines Sur”, the activity was in response to the request of the target school for expert and experienced faculty extensionist resource speakers from the CSPC College of Arts and Sciences.


The symposium aimed to provide knowledge in Gender and Development for teachers and students, to foster values in developing self-confidence and self-worth, as well as preparedness and versatility for the more difficult challenges, to provide information on science, specifically environmental issues and global warming, and to improve the target group’s literacy in mathematical concepts, specially on statistics.


Speakers for the symposium were Dennis N. Rañon for Gender and Development, Eva C. Sasuluya for Values Formation, Leizl B. Namoro for Mathematical Concepts, and Catherine B. Guarnes for Environmental Care. An open forum was facilitated by Francia Babay and Jessi Escuro after the lectures. The activity was headed by CAS Extension Coordinator Daisylen D. Alano, MAEd.


Budget for the activity expenses amounted to Php 16,500; Php1500.00 of which came from the CSPC fund for the lunch and snacks of participants, program, certificates, training materials and other operational expenses.
