External tech experts evaluate 21 proposals, 11 completed researches of CSPCeans

Six external evaluators/technical experts from Bicol University (BU), Central Bicol State University of Agriculture (CBSUA), and La Consolacion College-Iriga (LCCI) assessed the proposals and completed researches of several faculty researchers of the College on January 28.

Dr. Luis Amano, Engr. Christopher Pacardo, Dr. Rosario Rebecca O. Bercasio, and Dr. Viola L. Amano of BU, Dr. Ramona Isabel S. Ramirez of CBSUA, and Dr. Lourdes G. Laniog of LCCI evaluated the 11 completed researches and 21 proposals of the faculty members of Camarines Sur Polytechnic Colleges during the In-House Review of Research Proposals and Completed Researches, which was held at the CSPC Pearl Function Hall.

In his statement of purpose, Engr. Harold Jan R. Terano, Research Services Director, stated that the event is the continuation of the in-house review conducted on November last year, and consists the second batch of presenters. The Research Director also expressed his delight for the laudable turnout of faculty-researchers since last year. “I am happy to inform you all that based on our records, around 65-70% of our full-time faculty members are engaged in the research undertakings of the College,” claims Engr. Terano. “…We are hoping that more and more faculty members will engage in research not just for personal reasons but for the benefit of the community and the nation as a whole,” he says.

Meanwhile, Dr. Charlito P. Cadag, the CSPC President, commended the researchers whose studies were recently published in international publications. “With the recent milestones achieved by Engr. Harold Jan R. Terano as well as Dr. Challiz D. Omorog, Mr. Philip Alger M. Serrano, and Ms. Bernadette Grace C. Bonita in having their studies published by international R&D journals, we take pride in our emergence as the new powerhouse of word-class researchers. May their accomplishments inspire the rest of the CSPC community and spark a brand new chapter of our journey,” says the College President. “Definitely, our strengths and successes in research extend beyond the confines of our humble institution,” he added.
