CSPC marks 35th year celebration: Pathway towards Universityhood

Camarines Sur Polytechnic Colleges started its 35th Anniversary Celebration with the commencement of the Alumni Day on June 10, 2018.

The Alumni Association Inc. Sponsored the ceremony which commenced with a thanksgiving mass attended by students and faculty at the Holy Cross Parish Church, with Rev. Jose Pimentel as the officiating priest. After the mass, students joined the Fun Run / Fun Walk and the parade while headed by the CSPC Majorettes and CSPC Band around the Poblacion area, starting from the parish and finishing at CSPC Gymnasium.

Hon. Lino D. Berango, the Alumni President, gave an inspiring speech for the students about hard work and finishing school. Afterwards, students and faculty participated in the Fun Zumba guided by the CSPC Dance Troupe on stage. “This activity encourages CSPCeans to be united,” as said by Ms. April Z. Luzon, the Planning Officer of the College and one of the organizers of the Alumni Day. “Kahit very simple lang ang activities natin, makikita mo talaga ang total package of being a CSPCean na nagkakaisa sa lahat ng activities.”

The ceremony ended with a speech on the ceremonial opening of the Coral Anniversary from Dr. Dulce F. Atian, College President, who inspired everyone about the humble beginning of CSPC and its way forward towards universityhood. It was followed by a dance number from the CSPC Dance Troupe and Banchetto Pamawan.

This year’s charter anniversary is inspired by the theme, CSPC@35: Pathway to Universityhood. Hon. Harry Roque, Presidential Spokesperson, will serve as the College’s keynote speaker on its formal opening on June 25, 2018.
